Goal

The Lavinia Riker Davis Children's Library provides a friendly environment dedicated to
promoting literacy and an enjoyment of reading in order to foster lifelong learning.

Programs

Pre-school story hours are held at The Brookfield Library throughout the year. Registered
programs run for approximately 7 weeks per season and are offered each Fall, Winter and Spring.
2 year old programs and 3-5 year old programs are presented throughout the week during regularly
    scheduled sessions.

The library also offers a variety of adolescent programs including an annual Nutmeg Book
Discussion Club and a Reader's Theatre program.

Our ever popular Summer Reading Program begins the 1st week of July and ends the 2nd week of
    August every year.

For further information about any of these programs please call the Children's Dept. at 203/775-6241.
